Last but not least – on Saturday 11th of April, our final community day of the 2025 Bright Futures project saw Link take to the lanes at Torquay Bowling Alley.
It was a "striking success" and a full turnout from the project, with all 12 young people and their parents attending, along with Director Martyn and Ambassador Luke, who led the teams.
Torquay Bowling Alley was fully accessible for everyone and had a fantastic setup that ensured all the young people could take part in the (highly competitive) fun.
In true Link fashion, no one shied away from the competition – everyone got stuck in, and even if there was some questionable cheating disguised as parental help, everyone did brilliantly.
There were strikes, spares, and plenty of laughs along the way. Afterwards, we rounded off the day with squash and chips.
As the final activity of the year, it was amazing to have such a great turnout and bring everyone together to celebrate what had been a brilliant first year of the project.
It was especially wonderful to see the friendships and sense of community that had formed throughout the year, for both the young people and their parents.
